Hi Oct, again, without any obligation, merely info, a couple of friends suggested that the 'dragon wing sword handles' would be better off being proper sword handles because they look a bit confusing when blended with the dragon's 'real' wings....I was so immersed in the process I ddn't really see this aspect but now its been pointed out to me I actually agree....Fortunately I think the handles could be easily modified to become part of the sword, in fact, I think they could be made to be an extension of the actual blade....ie making the sword have sharp spiky 'side' blades similar to the length of the blade itself....I won't expect you to modify this though, unless it easy for you.....I'm sure a good tattooist could manage to do it..?
thank you so much for the complements :) its always appreciated :D We got there in the end, two minds are better than one ;) I agree I will add some more in shortly for you, no problem at all :)
Hi octavia, thanks for all your patience. I think, for balance, it needs a bit of shading/cloud/art on the left side of the dragon silhouette but, to be fair, I think you have done a great job so I won't expect anything further for you to win this... It's totally up to you. Either way, I'm happy. You are very talented. My brain can't imagine how anyone can draw fantasy art so well! Thanks again. Jas
Hi octavia, I hope this doesn't frustrate you too much but I don't think the wing, being fully extended, will fit on my back. If u review my original picture that I submitted, I think you will agree that anything higher that the top of your sword is actually above my shoulder height.... Hence the wing(s) need to be either folded or shaded off somehow. This is difficult to do via these txt messages but I'm trying hard (as I know you are) to finalise this. Hope my comments make sense.
In all honesty, your design is miles ahead....i got an email telling me to choose a winner and noticed the option to extend...seemed the proper way to do it, but i specifically only added 4 days....so as not to drag it out on you....or me ;-) If you can get his body sorted and maybe link it into some wings with shading to hide/disguise them hence keeping the proportions anatomically correct, rather than the current shading that's to the left and right of the bloodstone, then we are in business ;-) Once i get it done, i'll come back at a later stage and simply hire you directly to add more fantasy silhouettes and other background stuff....and make it really special. I think you overall work is awesome! Jas
Thank you mate thank you for increasing the prize amount, I really appreciate that, and I humbly thank you.
I will have more for you later on today. I appreciate you extending the competition too, so I will continue to di my best, plus it gives others chance to come up with something too
Hi Octavia, Yes, appreciate the deal and your efforts. I have added $75 but I have no idea how to change the time limit on the contest....so I will wait to hear from you as to how this progresses now. Thanks Jas
I cannot do anymore for this design now as its night time now and I have been out all day.
I have put a lot of hard work into this design and the prize amount is not enough, if you like what you see and are sure that you want this design, then increase the amount and when I have been chosen as the winner then I will complete the dragons body for you no problem when the competition is over.
Hi octavia, Thanks so much for help and efforts so far. The design 102674 is great.... My only (and final) request is the dragons 'missing' body ( between the tail and the head )...I really think it should be mostly filled in (like his head) with maybe some smoke/shading. I also can't visualise the shading above the dragon, is that kinda the wings? I understand the sizing problem with the wings, just wishing we could create the 'concept' of wings using shading/outline/smoke and let imagination piece it together. Sorry to be a pain, I've really appreciated your help. Jas
Thanks for the feedback.....so, with the existing design, I'm just not sure about the way the tail is hidden...it's hard to tell with the "create my tattoo logo" smeared all over your design (though i understand the copyright issue)....have you incorporated a smoky style concept to conceal the dragons body etc?....it's difficult to tell....also, are the top bits on the left and right meant to be 'part' wings?....I'd probably want to see more of the dragon from the tail's end or least get a better view of the smoke/shading....any extra help much appreciated.
Hi Octavia, I really like the concepts, especially the darker version. I really like the larger dragon behind the blade, especially his tail which is really cool....I'm wondering how difficult it would be to incorporate that dragon with actual wings, rather than the wing handles?...In other words, would we be able to alter the wing handles on a more 'upward angle' so they actually looked like they were the wings of the dragon behind the sword...projecting up/out at about 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock (based on the top of the sword being 12 o'clock...if you understand my drift)......that would be almost spot on I think! Thanks for your efforts so far, really appreciated.
I really liked your existing tattoo, and kinda agreed with your first idea and that was to make it into a dragon sword. The sun made a really nice sun gem which is in the hand of the sword, I then thought some dragons wings would make for excellent handles, but stylised so that you could imagine gripping the sword safely. On the top of the hilt I placed a dragons blood stone, which is kinda neat. I wanted a fierce feel to the sword so I added a spiky blade. It measures 14 inches in length but the sword could be extended as well.
Last I thought it would be nice to a large dragon behind the blade, but kept him partly hidden as if he is ghosted in there with some prominent features. I think added some shy shading around the dragon pop more and with the mixture of bare skin and shaded silhouettes would really add a different touch to your tattoo and make it stand out from the rest. With subtle shading to bring out the dragon outline would also leave really nice options in the future for a fantasy background. adding even more to your design at a later date ;)
Lastly I added some dragon silhouettes.
This is what I managed to come up with for the price. plus with this idea your tattoo can be added to in the future.
#103540 ;)
The side handles were the key issue and you have sorted those out with #103540, much appreciated. Thanks O,
