Fish tattoos might look simple, but they hold more representations than you could ever imagine. For many years, these designshave been coveted by many tattoo enthusiasts. This symbolism is inspired by the myth of Heros and Aphrodite, where they transmuted into sea creatures in order to escape the wrath of Typhon. Ancient Africans believed in this representation as well, as they believed that their creator Mangala created seeds from where two fish were been born in order to jumpstart the creation of the world. The Celts, on the other hand, viewed fish as signs of prophecy, inspiration, wisdom and knowledge. Obviously, the popularity of fish tattoos go several millennia back.
