I think in your previous drawing, the mother had a slightly softer expression, something in the eyes now which is a little arch, if you know what I mean? Also, the smile was softer before, which I liked. I like the detail of leaves and flowers, that works well. Thank you!

Thank you for this, it's looking really beautiful. I have tiny little tweak requests, don't worry if there isn't time. Could you smooth out the slight 'wobble' in the outer edge of the baby's arm and perhaps make the whole arm slightly less chubby? I liked the detail in the baby's face from your previous drawing (sorry!) could that come back? And maybe just a hint of detail in the mother's face? somewhere between the first and last drawing?
As I say, I know this is last minute, so don't worry if there isn't time and thank you so much!

Any ideas what changes would make you like the designs?

Not crazy at all. I can do this no problem. I would have responded sooner. I'm currently at a convention so my timing is slightly off, my apologies.

I have the revisions all shiny and in finished styled up in no time.

This is probably totally crazy and far too last minute, but I have uploaded a couple of pictures of me and my son to my Flickr photostream and I wondered if it was possible to get the profile in your drawing looking a little like my profile? Don't worry if this is a ridiculously tall order!!

It's lovely - I think I would like to see freer-flowing vine detail for the hair, similar to what you see on the designs either side of yours. Really lovely work!

really hoping to see your last design worked up into a workable stencil, I really like it!

That is fantastic! I love the way it suggests the shapes without being obvious - if you could perhaps work in a little more variety of colour and shape, a flower or two, or buds or a small butterfly or something else of your choice. Really close, thank you!

Wow! Absolutely stunning! My only slight reservation is could you make the faces ever so slightly more subliminal/suggested? So it's not obviously a picture of mother and baby?
Really gorgeous, thank you!

That's beautiful, I love the twists and turns in the hair that become vines. I'd love to see that worked up into a stencil with perhaps a few more leaves from top to bottom. Thank you!

this is a really beautiful drawing, by the way - just not the image I'm after. But thank you!

Thank you for this, I am looking for a slightly more delicate and organic image, I understand that you've made the two figures like paisley shapes, but it makes them look a bit large and cartoon-y. In a similar style, could yuu have a go at something more flowing, freer, more natural?

The colours you've chosen are lovely and I really like the way you've subtly done the om and the B - do you think you could have a go at the mother/child image in the Flickr photostream? The motherhood knot is great, and you've done it really nicely, but somehow the shape doesn't quite work - my fault.
Could I have thinner and more leafy vines? Thank you!

This is getting quite close, I really like the central image and I look forward to seeing it worked up with perhaps thinner, smoother lines, more detail in the hair, more leaves and perhaps a suggestion of the om? Definitely getting there, though - thank you!

Many apologies, I have been working with createmytattoo to come up with a solution, as I couldn't find a design that was really what I was looking for - no doubt my fault for not being clear enough in my description. We have agreed to extend the competition and that takes 24/48 hours to go live again. I have updated the description and added some images to the Flickr photostream - I hope I have been clearer this time, please ask me anything if not!

Really nice. As below, do you think you could have a go at something other than a B? Like the motherhood knot or another mother/child symbol? Could yo make it less uniform too?
Thank you!

I love your style - think you could have a go at something that wasn't a B? Like the mother hood know or some other mother/child symbol? Thank you!

I appreciate all your effort, I think we may just have a different style! What you've done is great, but the vine looks a little strange - I think I'm after something maybe more feminine, pretty? Thank you!

These are getting close, I have uploaded a couple more images onto the Flickr page, especially of a butterfly I like. I do like the motherhood knot and Enviedesigns, your flowers are beautiful. Now I'm just looking for more variety and more detail in the vines and leaves so that the whole image looks more natural and organic. Thank you!
original tat
July 16 2010 7:31pm
one of your ideas was to add to the original tat? If you do that I would suggest having the black redone on your original tat as well, will match up better and look nice and fresh. :D

Thank you for this, however, as I said to Sookie, I am looking for something much more delicate and with more detail. I also prefer the butterfly's wigs to be pointing up, as this one looks more like a moth?
I am uploading a link to some images that may help everyone.
Many thanks.

I really like the butterfly of genecahill, with the wings pointing upwards? It looks happier somehow!

Thank you for these, they are definitely gettting there. I am writing you both together as a combination of what you have both done would be great.
Sookie, I like the delicacy of the greenery, I think I would like even more of that and more detail perhaps, if possible. I am less drawn to the letter B and big butterflies than I am to the greenery and the mother/child symbol.
Enviedesigns, the central symbol is pretty close to the kind of thing I had in mind, if it could be actually made up of leaves and fronds of greenery so that the whole image is more organic?
I like the little butterfly hovering by the side, that's sweet.
Thank you both!

Thank you for this, I do like the shape of the letter B, and the butterfly is nice and subtle at that size. I am missing the whole greenery/nature element, however. I'm not so keen on the colours, I would prefer something more natural and organic creating the shapes. I'm not opposed to a B either, but I'd like there to be a bit more more mother and child symbolism. Thank you for your work!

Good question - I'm thinking rather than a specific image of my son, something that subtly suggests mother and child - not obvious or in your face, but perhaps fronds of greenery that might hint at an image of motherhood. I'm open to ideas, though - so feel free to be creative!
question
July 9 2010 9:18pm
i was just wondering if you wanted just nature, or if you would like to incorporate something that would represent yer son specifically?
