Summary:
Tribal sun tattoo with feminine lines to memorialize my daughter and my experience living with out her
Description:
The backstory: My daughter died at birth last year. Tragically, I tripped and fell in our yard days before she was due, and even though we rushed to the hospital, she had died within minutes. Because of the fall, I nearly lost my life as well that night, coming very close to bleeding to death and having a difficult recovery as a result.
My husband and I both got these two circles on our arms a month after her death, symbolizing the circle of life. Now, just over a year later, I would like to have my tattoo evolve a little. I think that I would like to make it look like a sun, because as I lay on the table bleeding out, I kept digging deep inside myself and feeling that I just wanted to feel the sun on my face one more time.
I like feminine lines. I also like traditional american and japaneses tattoos. I've included a few photos of tattoo styles that I like. I love the way the first photo mixes traditional american style with just black bold tribal lines. The third photo, of the sun and moon, I included just to show the outer sun rays, not the inner design. I like the feminine lines of the outer rays. The second photo is my existing tattoo, which I want to add to.
I'm flexible on the size of the tattoo. Also, if you had an idea that was outside the box and was not a sun, but symbolized life and death, I would definitely be open to it. I'm still unsure exaclty what I'm looking for.
Please feel free to submit a simple design that only adds a little to the original tattoo. The winner may be a very simple design. Or feel free to submit something more ornate. I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for yet.

Someone suggested that I am looking for a MANDALA and after looking at images, they are absolutely right. So please submit something along these lines if you have time! No need for it to resemble a sun...
I really do love the images on the shoulders of the sample tattoo image 1. I would be very interested in having something very closely resembling these.

I just added two photos of mandalas that I like. They are both far more detailed than I am looking for, because I only have about an extra one inch of space around my tattoo to work with before getting into the crook of my arm (ouch).
Sorry to be adding new ideas...but I'm just not finding what I'm looking for so far! Thanks.
Appended Description (September 8 2012 10:46pm):
Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to submit an idea. I'm really grateful. Unfortunately, I just haven't settled on one image 100% so I'm going to extend for a week.
You have all helped me clarify what I'm looking for a little more. I definitely into a MANDALA or a FLOWER, not just an image that is like the sun. Infact, the sun tattoos weren't really working for me. As for a flower, I like a vintage flower look. My daughters name was Margot June, and sometimes I imagine a vintage flower reminding me of her.
The first sample image, of the girl's back, is definitely the style I am looking for. I like the shoulder tattoos on each shoulder. I like the way her tattoo mixes thin lines with bold lines. I like that it is like a black and white Ed Hardy style.
Many of the tattoos offered so far are also probably too detailed for me. I am only looking to add about another inch around my existing tattoo, so please feel free to keep it simple. Also, I am intrigued by the tattoos that add layers inside of my two current circles, not just on the outside. But feel free to offer either.
Again, thanks so much to everyone!
