Haha, it's like the never ending contest. Glad I could still get this design in to you. So this is just a rough sketch, so you can get the idea of the layout. If there's something you want to change or add just let me know. I can try to do another sketch, with some other options too.

its a tough decision for my brother haha that is pretty hard but whatever u think will be best or maybe show me what one or two of them will look like, kind of like the piano. cause like is said we aren't that religious but also the flag seemed cool as well as the painted face, i like all the ideas including the flower.

It's a little different from most flowers, it can look mean and masculine , to represent your brother. I've also been searching for other ideas for your brother. I came up with the Scotland's flag, which is blue with a white X in it.(could look cool to make it look like it's blowing in the wind). Also I I looked for something to do with a painted warrior. And I kept finding, braveheart, how he has the scottish flag painted on his face, blue and white. So I was thinking maybe you could have a scottish warrior painted for battle? I'm guessing most of your family is Scottish, with the name Kelley, so maybe add the thistles too and have a scottish theme to it? Oh, and also, there is a scotland royal flag that is yellow with a red lion thingy...that could also look interesting and be used to represent your brother.

As far as the paino, I think it would be best to do either just the keys, or a piano. So it's not repeating itself. I'll do a couple of different quick sketches for you, and play around with some ideas for the whole thing. So you can pick and choose what you like and what goes together. Thanks for the feedback!

if you need any more information on my brother to try and get other ideas i can give you it to try and see if something will fit for him other then the flower but I've been trying to think of things and can't seem to so just let me know

for scott my brother, I'm not sure what that flower looks like - we aren't really that religious but if that looks good then i for sure would like to see it because i can't really think of anything else to put in for him.
for my dad i really like the idea of the eagle holding the hammer thing - can't recall what it is called. so its like the eagle - for my grand pa and the thing for my dad all in one. we can add the clouds if you think it looks good at this point I'm not sure exactly what will look better.


i don't think i need the music notes around the tree because of the keys at the trunk.- if there was like a lady or something sitting at the bottom of the tree playing the paino or a piano at the bottom of the tree then i think it would be cool to have piano notes coming up from that. which kinda was like the original idea to have a piano at the bottom and a rose on top of the piano. like i said it doesn't matter if that idea happens because i do like this one i was just suggesting other things.

also feel free to go crazy with the colors, i don't want anything that looks like someone tried to fit to many colors in but i want to use as many different colors as i can with the piece still looking good and flowing together. thank you vert much!

OK, awesome that does give me a better idea of what your looking for. So just to be clear, so far what I have in the picture is:

Grandma 1: Rose's
Grandma 2: Piano
Mom: Celestial Hunter, ( hunter of wild animals) Wolf in the clouds.
Grandpa: Eagle.

So the the only thing I am missing is Dad and your brother. I was thinking, for your brother, Scottish descendant. You could use the Scottish flower, the thistle. It would also represent your heritage too, The thistle also has a really great story behind it too and how it became the country's flower if you look it up on Wikipedia. So that in mind, instead of having a rose bush at the top of the tree I could do the thistles instead. And at the bottom of the the tree you could have one or two big roses coming from behind the tree to fill in that empty space. And for your dad, instead of the eagle carrying a fish, he could have one of those judges hammer, or justice scales. The hammer would show up better though. Or we could put another wolf in the clouds, to represent the K9 unit, since wolfs do look similar to German shepards.

If there is anything else you would like to change, like the cloud colors, or if you want them more defined, or less on them, or no moon. Or if you want the music wrapped and the tree. It's kind of hard to tell with the watermarks in the picture, but those are music notes coming out of the wolfs mouth, and they turn into clouds. So it does tie together. But it's your tattoo, so please let me know what you like and what you don't like so I can work from there.

I was also wondering about the size, if you wanted that to stay the same. smaller, bigger.

because my original idea was to have a tree of some sort coming up and then maybe having certain animals and things to describe my family. i was originally thinking of having a piano at the bottom of the tree with maybe a foreground of some sort, and then a rose on the piano representing my other grandma. i was thinking maybe putting water or somehow adding that in and i could even put things to represent my family in the water. but i do like how you did the piano in the tree. also it doesn't have to be just animals for example my dad was a cop on k9 and a lawyer and now a judge so anything that can represent him in that way works also, i know these are all kind of random but just whatever helps.

so basically i want to represent my two grandmas the rose and piano or something like that (rose and dolores).
my mom, diane. which means celestial hunter. so either a way with animals or however you could do that.
my grandpa which originally was going to be an eagle his name meaning strong as an eagle, he also fought in the war and made plane parts.
and my brother scott which doesn't really have great meaning, schottish descent - he is my closest brother, very close with him, grew up with him. - but it also means painted warrior - so anything you can think of for that.

none of these are a must I'm just giving you all this to make it easier for you i know not all of these will work together so whatever you can think of that will look cool, you're the artist.

there aren't any i have set in stone in my mind, as long as the animal or whatever is used properly represents the meaning of the name. you could do whatever comes or if you'd like me to give some ideas i will.

Do you have any other animals in mind to represent your family? Or something that would symbolize your family, like a shield and sword for the warrior. There's still room that I could add to, behind the tree or underneath it.

this is really cool i really like the way you used the piano keys as the tree trunk! the only thins is i don't really see everyone i wanted to resemble in the tree.
