So you are wanting a more cartoon like sun and moon with faces and for them to look sorta mean and masculine? Thats what I get out of his sun and moon.

Style of sun/moon

Rossi uses a lot of different styles and types of sun/moon designs, which have changed a lot over the years. Are you wanting the ones with faces incorporated, the simple ones with rays, etc. A little more detail on just which style of sun/moon design you are looking for will most likely get you a better selection of tattoo designs to pick from that will more closely match what you are looking for.

I do not wish to have it placed on a motorcycle or helmet, just the bothie style sun and moon, Valentino Rossi inspired, the name somewhat discreetly incorporated into it.

are you looking at any specific design concepts other than the sun and moon,like do you want it on a helmet or a motorcycle and do you have a specific font you'd like to use? and do you want the name kinda hidden or very bold

Yes, Rossi the motorcycle racer, we are huge fans and I like the sun and moon designs on his helmets and clothing, use that for inspiration.
