I like it much better with the words. Maybe not so much the cursive font, but that's just me being very very picky, I mean I can spend hours looking for a font in the end. I just wanted to see for sure that it was gonna look good, and yep it does.
Now you're gonna be sick of me for sure before this darn thing is done i know it.
So you would keep the blue clouds in the back even though there's a lot of blue in the whole thing? Just wondering. Maybe different color? I donno. Cause I really like this one a lot now.

the goggle design had all the symbolizm in the picture and wasn't shaped right to support words. this design worked a lot better. since the snowboarder was slightly off center i think this phraze works the best. what do you think? I like it better with the words. The other design i was working on didn't work as an armband that is why i ended up submitting this. best of luck

You know how with the first one you used the symbolism instead of the phrase or words. And I loved it.
With the other one, maybe instead of the clouds, you could put a word or two at the bottom or in the sky. I'm only asking cause I'm very very curious what you would choose.

Hey, one last request, and it's okay if you can't gett'er done, but I really really like this design the more I look at it, the only thing that still bugs me is the blue above the mountains. Is it possible to change it to a different color or maybe even remove the clouds and put some sun rays in or something. It just looks a little too blue I think.

neo traditional tattoos are the really old designs done in a newer style. if you chose one of my designs I would have no problem sending you the other design just in case. and your right it does look like it says love. you were wrong though on the hand thing i destroyede my right wrist worst of all. it takes sheer will power for me to use it for long periods of time. I probrably only have like 10 years of use left in it. so i am doing what i can with my skill while i still can. i am still a happy person though. best of luck.

I still don't know about the blue in the sky in the scenic one. It almost seems like maybe too much blue, but I don't know if changing the color or taking it out would mess it up. Yep... what do you think. And at first glance, it almost kinda looked like the word Love in the clouds. Which would fit cause i mean I do love snowboarding. That's why I asked. LOL.
And with the goggles, just want your opinion on an idea I had... instead of the mountain in the reflection, maybe just keeping the boarder and adding the chrome reflection to the rest. Don't know if this is easily tattooable. But again, don't change anything. I just want your opinion.
You've got a serious gift, and I'm glad during you ups and downs with injuries you didn't mess up your hands cause that would have seriously sucked for a lot of people. Well you too. lol.

well, except for the summer of 87 when I wanted to be a dinosuar i can't remember a time when i didn't want to be a tattoo artist. as far as what i like to tattoo i would have to say i like to do noe-traditional tattoos. although i specialize in coverups. someone could go to 10 other artist and get 10 no's then i will cover it up with something cool. although i don't really like the whole coverup cinario. most of the time people are hesitant to trust you on it because they have already had one bad experence with tattoos/ artist's. I think that since I am informative and generaly nice I put people at ease with it.

I still think it looks awesome. (2137) I'm not too too worried about the white, it's more so the design I'm after. The white, if it takes, is just a bonus.
And I really like the other design you've come up with. Wasn't what I was expecting at all, cause you said you were gonna give the boarder overlooking the mountain a shot in one of your other comments, but I do really like this. I love the mountains and the snow with the blue, and the little bit of white. The boarder is perfect, and I love the snow flying up behind it. The only thing I'm not sure on, and maybe you can clear this up... Is it supposed to say something in the sky, cause it kinda looks like letters, but the createmytattoo waterstamp is going through and i can't quite make it out.
Awesome job, again, you've blown me away with what you can do. You just had to make my decision harder, didn't you. LOL.

ok this is a bit more of a realistic portrail of what the white would look like done only in high lights. as you can see the skin tone goes through out the whole picture where the white was. This is what would have to be done if you don't take white well. Hope you still like it. it would be the same for most designs that have a lot of white in them. best of luck and let me know what you think.

here is my take on a scenic entry i think It's cool and unique. so the way I did the skin tone and the white in this picture would be a wost case cinerio for the white. But you and your artist would have to see if white takes well on you. you could be one of those freakish few that take all the white thats given. Also a little colour could be added to the white to make it stand out a bit more. blue works well for this. I will resubmit the goggles in this fasion if you would like i know there is a ton of white because i drew it on white paper. as far as my hip. I slamed it on a handrail and dislocated it. then I put it back in place myself and kept skating.2 weeks later i couldn't get out of bed becuase when i put it back in place i pinched a blood vessel. so the bone started to die in the pelvis and the end of the femor. i had surgery that had me relaxing for like 6 months. Icant even count all the nasty injuries i have had. i am ok with it and still do those same stupid things all the time.I don't fully understand it either. hope you like the new design. best of luck

You know, I've just noticed there is quite a lot of white in the tattoo that you've done. You kinda explained the whole white situation with the last contest I had. But I'm thinking more so in the goggles, cause the white does look sharp. What's gonna be the best method to get this look on my arm. How would you do it? Is there a way to do it?
And you know, I started getting into the jumps and stuff 2 years but kinda shied away from it. I can't afford to break my right wrist during the winter months, so I gotta be real careful what extreme sports I do. Next year I think I'm gonna give it another try. This is the second year in a row I've not been able to go at all. I'm going nuts.
And crazy stuff on rollerblades I'd never even think of trying. I've never broken a bone in my entire body, and I'd like to keep it that way.
So when you say destroyed your hip... what the heck did you do? I'm thinking you probably missed a landing or something. And at 17 yet. Just curious, was being a tattoo artist something you always wanted to do?

i just watched the last 15 mins of the game. It was good. I do the crazy stuff on the rollerbaldes. I have been for the past 19 years. I used to be pro but i destroyed my hip at the ripe old age of 17 so now i just do it for fun. still probrably do a bunch of stuff i shouldn't though. I really havnt been snowboarding that long. I have only been like 4 times but i can 360 both ways and i can frontside 540. i can also grind but i don't know the names of those tricks. i just do them. i think the rollerblading helped me take to it quickly. there are three resorts in the surrounding areas north we have flagstaff east we have the white mountains and south we have mount lemon. lemons lame though. hehe. I have been trying to draw the past two days but everything seems to be coming out lopsided. It happens every now and then. oh well i'll just keep at it. cheers

I'm so jealous that you are able to rollerblade. It's kinda hard to do here with all the snow on the ground. I put my tunes on and going for 2-3 hours at a time. I love it.
I missed the entire second half cause I went for a run instead. It was a good run, so it was worth it. I was gonna be happy either way in who won, Indy cause I cheer for them, and Saints cause there was a nice story behind it and all.
I've also been meaning to ask, where to you snowboard? You're in Arizona right. I'm rusty on my geography, but do the Rockies run through Arizona somewhere?

And to answer your question, yes, it's going on my right arm.

i don't know why i didnt ask sooner but which arm is it going on. It is currently drawn for the right arm. its not a hard fix if it's going on the left. I can just reflect the very same picture the other way. just thinking. you know. so far I have missed half of the game. I closed the shop early and went rollerblading. I love being the boss.

Lol, the Jets had a pretty good season. They got a little luck along the way though. Should be a good game tomorrow. So take the time and watch it, and relax. Plenty of time left to get your idea in.
And a 6 hour session, shit I've got a hard time sitting for 1 hour doing one thing, never mind 6. Doesn't your hand ever cramp up? Cause I'm thinking ouch.

all of my family except for me is from western pennsylvania so I root for the steelers. i on the otherhand grew up in San Diego so I also root for the chargers. who incedently choked against my wifes team the Jets. whatever at least she was happy for the week. I just got done witha 6 hour tattoo session. I am spent. i would like to try the idea with the girl boarder overlooking the mountain ahead but i am having trouble making i look right. I don't want to put anything important on either side because that will just put the cool stuff in you armpit. I will keep working on it. cheers

Thanks, I think I actually prefer the other one. It really doesn't need the extra purple in the reflection. Just needed to see it to be sure. The more I look at them all, 2021 is definitely my favorite of the three.
So who is your team... Don't even say the Cowboys or something crazy like that. I like Indy and NY Giants. It was great the year they both were playing. Like most sports I watch though, I tend to watch a lot more during the playoffs than the regular season.

some small changes while i wait for my client to come in. I would like to see new orleans win more because of the financial impact it would have on new orleans recovery. neither of my teams made it so i'm kinda going through the motions watching the superbowl. so yah just some small changes to bring a bit more purple into the design. do you have white ink in any of your other tattoos? I think we might have touched on this subject with the last design. this one is a bit different though. the brighter colours might help to let any white in the design show a little better. maybe an extention on the highlights for the mountains.i dunno white is a tough subject. anyway have a nice day. best of luck

well, i guess if i had to put words in it I would be a bit screwed. I chose an idea to symbolize that is hard to put into two or three words. i honestly think i would totaly mess it up if i tried. you know that saying " a picture is worth a thousand words" I think that sums it up pretty well. as for the colour I don't think any drastic changes need to be made. for instance the grey in the beanie could be done in purple as well as some of the design on the snowboard. i have a busey day ahead of me on saturday but I will try to show you what i mean on sunday some time before the superbowl. sorry if my last coment seemed a bit long and lexurey. K, i've been thinking more and more about adding purple in the reflection. Would you just replace the blues with purple?
I know it's my decision in the end, but I definitely need some help with this.
Would you leave it the way it is, or would consider adding a little purple in the reflection. It's always tough for colors with me.
I can usually draw some really nice stuff when I want, but then I go and mess it up all the time by adding colors. So your opinion does matter to me, I know it's my decision in the end. But it is your design, and I'd like to know if you'd leave i the way it is, or change anything in the reflection.

believe it or not i kinda suck with the colour pencils. at least in comparison to tattoo ink. i have to go light with the blue pencils otherwise it comes out all uneven looking and the purple pencil is just ugly no matter what i do. i just hand draw my entries to ensure they are tattooable. I could cut and paste all day and get some really cool designs going but i don't want people to spend money on a design that will get shot down. now the blues. there are two ways to go about the colours fading. you can blend colours using a mixing white or multiple shades of blue or you can wash useing whitchhazel, glyserin or water. the later of the two is a bit harder or at least you have less choises in your colour. If you try to wash using a colour mixed with white to get its shade it just washes out the white and you end up with a darker colour. I use the first method myself. it's nice to have two base colours so you can use them individuely or blended. different artist have little quirks in their techniques but those are the basics. If you tell your artist you want the colours to pop i am sure they will have no problem doing adjustment to the colour. the idea is what is really important and worth paying for. that being said I like the purple. i think the other looks a bit more dull more because the extra colour is not there. It has a crazy amount of contrast to the pink. they compliment eachother and make the overall piece more stimulating. all in all i am sure your artist wont let you leave with a dull tattoo if you didn't ask for one. as for the colour choise I like the purple and it could be worked into other places in the tattoo. i hate to sound like a broken record but this is your tattoo and ultimatly the colour choice is yours to make. it has been a long day for me as well. My dog almost took the vets hand off this morning. stressed me out like crazy. hope tomorrow is better for you and best of luck

K, now a silly question cause I'm not sure at all about this. So you notice how the blue in the first one is kinda pale looking on the goggles, but bolder underneath the boarders arm on the left. Now when you go to tattoo this, how do you get it too look pale looking like that, or do you just use a light shade of blue or something. If that makes any sense at all. lol. Like for example again, the different blues in the sky, would you use two different colors, or just a different needle or something?

Cause I'm all torn now, the one you photo shopped looks so bold and really stands out, and kinda makes the other one look dull. Still great, but the goggles don't jump out like 2021. Is that going to make a difference once it's tattooed.

no one would notice if it was not connected. you would have to go around with your arms reached to the sky saying "hey look it's not connected" for anyone to see. lol. if you feel it's important though to free hand a connection would take a line or two and a little shading. no biggie. so it is entirely up to you.

I changed the blue to purple. I rarely do it but I had to show off some of the photo shop skills. I don't have a purple pencil that would do what i want. then when i did just the purple it made it all look dull so i did touch ups on all of it. i like it. the only reason I didn't do it to start with is because i wasn't sure if you would like all of the color in this piece. to be honest i like th look of a full colour tattoo. anyway let me know what you think. Okay, maybe not a darker blue, maybe just that blue a little darker, like the darker part on the mountain maybe? But we'll see what the purple looks like first.
And I know the underarm part is very sensitive which was going to be my other question. It would still look good if it didn't connect all the way around right? And if I wanted it to connect, the mountains could just be continued on connecting in the back by freehand?

i am glad you like it. I will try the purple but I think a darker blue might make them look a little too butch if you know what i mean. as far as the snowboarders. this whole design is only 10 1/2 inches long. I do this so that the part joining the two sides can be free handed in if you even want to do this. The underside of the arm at its high point is really close to a major nerve cluster. this makes it kind of hard to sit through and free handing the center portion will make streight placement easier for your artist. Since the design is smaller in this way the snowboarders actuely aren't even close to eachother one would be on the bicept and the other would be on the tricept. this will make the tattoo exciting to look at from all angles. i will try the purple and see what you think.best of luck.

Okay, now that I can hopefully get the words out.
First, I wouldn't change anything with the goggles. Except maybe the color blue on the outside. I really like the pink how it's a little darker, I'm thinking maybe just a little darker blue, or maybe a nice purple to compliment the pink. Yes, no? I wanna know what you think. I don't know if adding purple would effect the colors (the face and the hair) on the inside of the glasses. I know the purple would go with the blue and pink just maybe not with the face and hair color so much.
And once this wraps around my arm, are the two boarders going to be really close together at the back, or do you think there'll be enough room in between them. I know getting rid of one would leave that side blank and I don't think I'd like that. Just let me know what you think,

I see your back for another design and congrats on the win with the chess piece contest. Well here is the first shot. I chose to put a bit of a different image in the goggles. It symbolizes that whenever you fall you just need to pick yourself up and try again. Thank you very much for choosing a snowboarding design.
