i want a small bright cheery johnny jump up flower
Description:
I would like a small flower for the inside of my leg, right above my ankle. I would like a small johnny jump up, colored like the ones that were near my house when I was little. (see pictures). id like a one or two flowers and maybe some leaves. Id like it to have a little bit of detail
Additional Details:
Gender: Female
Size: 1.9 x 2 inches
Detail: Low
Winning artist must provide stencil / line work at completion of contest
this is a much harder choice than I was expecting!!!!
I know what you are saying about leafiness as well, it is something I'm considering. My biggest concern is finding a beautiful design that will translate into beautiful ink
Hi, I have noticed that alot of the designs have such huge leaves and they overwhelm the main forcus which is the flower that you wanted in the first place and I think the size of some of them are just to big for what your wanting which is a small realistic looking Pansy for your ankel. I myself have 7 tattoo's and added on to a few because cause I didn't want to regret getting something I really knew I wanted in the first place and could always add onto to make it look exactly the way I really axctually wanted it to look in the first place and end up settling for something less. Just a little advise that you might want to think about, Thank's. S.O.
I love the flowers and how they are colored. the bee is just a bit to prominent for me. I'm thinking of another tattoo that will be just a bee and that would be a cool design. but for myy flower I'd rather the bee just be an accent. oh look a wee bee!
-do you like the lines coming off of the flower? do you want more or less of them? i don't mind the curly lines, although I might want to see a design without them au natural
do you want more than one flower? i'd like to see a design with more than one flower
-would you prefer different colors? i want to stay as close to nature with the colors. I love love love what you did in 4238. that one is in my top 3. Like I said to maigan, I hadn't really thought of doing the flower that way with just the leaves but the more I see it the more I like it. plus there is a small possibility that i might use this design on my sholder if and I think that would look really beautiful.
so if you let me know your likes/dislikes... I can make you a few more options. -do you like the lines coming off of the flower? do you want more or less of them? -do you want more than one flower? -would you prefer different colors?
I'd love to see more if you have time. I'm putting a link bellow. It is the clearest picture of the type of Jonnies we have at my house. They're technically called viola tricolors. in this case the three colors are the beautiful violet, blue and peeking yellow center. I'm still hoping for an option that really captures the look of this varriety of the flower.
Thank you for the plug! That's very nice of you! :) I'm really glad you like the design. The fact that my art 'speaks' to you means a lot! I'm so glad you like the whimsy....I love whimsy! lol! I'm going to try a few more, just to see what you think, give you some options! :)
shout out to all my great submissions. if i had known that there was so much good stuff going down here I would have tried to come up with a better prize amount. Maigan - i originally thought I wanted a flower with a stem but your design is really speaking to me right now. I love your style. everyone should check out her blog for some really pretty whimiscal designs that will make you :-)
I just wanted to let you know that my star rating isn't because I don't like your design, it is just because it is probably more cartoonish than I will be going for on this tattoo. It is still really cute though!
I can't think of anything else in particular I'd like to see in the design. I really just want to capture the natural beauty of these perky little flowers. They are the strangest thing - they're supposed to be annuals but every year they come back like a big lush purple carpet. It's my own little summertime miracle.
P.S I went to your website and I love your animal pictures! very talented!
I should have the design ready in about 2-3 days and posted for you to see. Just wait, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Talk to you soon and have a good one my friend.
I'm glad you like it. I knew I'd get it eventually. I don't do tats usually. I mostly do pet portraits and fairy drawings but so many people have suggested that I do this I figured I'd give it a try. I think my tats are too cartoony but I'm worried about putting in too much detail. I'll keep working on your design between classes. Is there something else you'd like to see in this design?
You really summed up what I'm thinking. I don't want to get something that looks like clip art or a car decal. Can you imagine pulling up next to a chevy and being like **** that back window has the same tattoo as me! I prefer a realistic looking design, but I understand that it is going to be small and so that limits the amount of detail. I just don't want anything to cartoony or that looks like I took a scrapbooking stamp to myself. And since the tattoo is going to be visable I want something classy and feminine. Maybe I have too many wants! Like anything worth doing, it's a process :o)
Howdy and top of the mornin' to ya. LOL. i checked out the link's and the pictures. From what I'm gathering, you're wanting the flower to look as real as possible and do you want the design to look pretty much the same as the link picture's? Yes I can do that and from what I've been told my design's look more and tend to be on the more "realistic" side of what a contest holder is requesting. That can be a good thing or a bad thing, just depends on the person. Personally, I prefer the more realistic look myself rather than the cheesy look of a clipart, vector design. Let me know your thoughts and I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank's again for your time and have a good one my friend.

P.S...Check out the design I posted for the Peacock design contest. Turned out pretty badass I think...
You bet I can take a look at them and would be more than happy to do so. I went on ahead and withdrew the design I submitted, 3 star won't cut it, huh.......LOL, at least not in my book. Thank you very much for the compliment also, it's very kind of you and it means alot, believe me, when you read those type of comments/compliments it makes you think how all those hours, days, weeks, months and years "in my case", LMAO was all worth it. Take care and I'll get back with you as quickly as I can in regards to the links you want me to check out about seeing what I can do for you. Take care and have a groovy evening my friend.
Hi, I'm happy you took an interest in my design as I looooove the peacock you did. Before I signed up here I snooped around a bit and that was one of the designs that made me thing - oh man there are talented people here! I just posted some links under @melissa. if you would take a look at tell me what you think you can do I would be thrilled :-)
Melissa I LOVE LOVE the addition of the tiny bumble bees! I just wish the flowers were more like this http://image22.webshots.com/22/5/6/37/2976506370010116893WCfXeI_fs.jpg
oh and one more thing... I like bees. My last name begins with a B, i've been called the queen B. I don't need a bee in my design, but if it inspires you, try it!
thank you for your submissions. I like the flower in 4108, but i prefer a more natural looking leaf like in 4104. I also like the arangement in 4104. keep em comming!
