Summary:
Artistic Freedom on a runner's tattoo. Something unique that'll start people talking, or grab someone's attention.
Description:
I would like a silhoutte of a runner. No particular gender, maybe even kinda cartoon like. Like you might see on a logo or something. I want the silhouette to be unique. Not something I could find on the internet.
The position could be facing forward or a side view.
I'd like it to be about 4 to 6 inches tall by about 2 to 4 inches wide.
I want this to be totally unique.
I love running. When I run, NOTHING else matters. It's kinda my escape from my life. But not really like I need to escape. Kinda like I need to do it, to be me and when I don't I'm not complete.
I don't know, it's kinda hard to explain.
I'd like the silhouette to maybe be surrounded by a phrase or word to two. Something unique and inspirational maybe. Maybe something that could uniquly explain what I just explained above on why I like to run.
I'm leaving everything up to the artist.
Go nuts.
My original inspiration for a running tattoo was after I saw an ad in a magazine. It was a runner, running up some stairs and "I'm not done yet" written on every stair.
Something to think about. Running for me, will never end. I'll never be finished. I'll never reach my finish line, because I'll always come up with somewhere else to run.
Throw some ideas out at me. Whatever you got. I'm really leaving it up to the artists to blow me away with something.
I'll be checking every day.
The word or phrase is important, but it can be left out if the runner, silhouette can be done in a way that it shows unique symbolism.
Good luck guys.
If you have any questions, just ask.

some were for the logo themselves, others the words kinda grabbed me.
Sole mates.
Run for those who can't.
Appended Description (May 15 2010 8:34pm):
A symbol or something to represent a never ending movement. Infinity...
Just something to think of if the words are tough to fit in the tattoo.

I've got a very difficult choice.
Many many great ideas.
I'll narrow down my choices within the next 30 minutes or so and have the finialists left when it ends.
It's gonna take me a couple days to decide.
But you guys did an amazing job.
You've done a great job coming up with this design for me.
It's not gonna be an easy choice.
Like I said, I've left it up to you guys to be creative.
The black silhouette was just one direction you could have gone.
Look forward to seeing what you got coming.
Benne'
If anyone has any different ideas that they'd like me to see I'm certainly open to them.
I usually have an idea, and go with it until someone show me something else that might work.
I've left the creativity open for your interpretation.
Like I said, I love the entries so far.
I like a lot of them the way they are with just the black.
Don't be afraid to use a little color if you're inspired to make it jump out at ya.
Throw any ideas out there that are even a little different. I've got a creative mind, but sometimes need other ideas too.
thanks again for everything so far.
There are symbols that could be used as well. But only if it's gonna fit the design.
For a lot now, it's going to get a little nit picky. I like things being perfect, so just bare with me on this. I'll try not to get too bad.
Like I said though, this one's pretty important and I want it perfect.
Once I've looked at them again in a couple days after thinking about them, and maybe after some changes from a couple, I'll be able to give some more specific details on what I'd really like to see for the fine tuning things.
Good start guys.
The silhouette itself could only be 2 -3 inches high or so.
I'm thinking it's gonna go on the right leg somewhere just above the ankle. So it doesn't need to be overly big.
Just want it big enough so it doesn't turn into a blobby mess down the road.
Hope to see some ideas popping up soon.
I'm really just looking for some creativety. I know there are a lot of talented artists out there, who interprett things differently, and I'm excited to see what you can come up with.
