Artist Discussion

wow.

I still drew it out I just scanned it in and did the coloring for it digitally. All of the best tattoo artists of today clean up their designs in a program. Just because someone says digital is like a short cut clearly has never spent any time in a PS program. The tablet is my canvas and the pen is my brush. So its not like I am just doing a photo-manipulation here, I spent years studying and training to do what I do. So take it or leave it I wont be ashamed of the medium I choose. But I doubt you would say such a thing to a water color artist if you thought water color paintings were shit. I am sure you would have said thanking you for taking the time. So whats the difference? since I would have spent the same amount of time doing a water color painting as I would a digital one.

Those nay sayers also have not spent a lot of time around tattoo artists since most if not all professionals have learned the programs. So I would not be such a sheep and listen to the people out there who are afraid of programs they do not understand.

I still spent 3 days of my sweat on the damn piece. Not even with the assured option that I would get paid. So why insult my medium when I am just taking a shot in the dark. I wonder if the others even cared half as much since most of the ones you gave 4-5 stars to if you look on the internet you can find the exact replica of the boat in a picture. SO in essence even though my design is original and out of my head you would rather have someone who did something traditional that was the equivalent of tracing. How generic, now that is what I call shit.

Besides what matters most is that this is going on your body for the rest of your life so in the end it does not matter if its Traditional or Digital what matters is the artist themselves and their skill level, how well they presented their piece and how it will look on your skin. I mean if you want to go with a shit design just because its traditional then I think your probably crazy. Also a little close minded to the 60% of tattoo creators out there today. Besides every thing becomes traditional once it hits your skin.

So way to insult an artist who was just trying to help you find the right tattoo for life.

Feeeew feel like I have been working on this forever. I can't spare any more time on it I am afraid.

Also I was unsure if you would be ok with the naked breasted mermaid I can add some seashells to her if you want.

This is half traditional/half digital. I will send over a link of it in a little bit at a better size without the water mark so that you can see the detail.

Well I hope you like.
