I added just a little more color with the time that I had. I'm sorry that I could not finish it. I probably could have were it not for having to turn in early tonight (got to be up at 5:30 am) Gotta love them early mornings eh?

Thank you kindly =) I use Photoshop 7. Great program however, it would be even greater if I had a digital tablet to use with it. Having a pen would make adding fine details sooooo much easier. Mouses just suck, lol.
June 18 2010 8:39pm
What program or grams do you use to color your images? Your good.
2nd Submission
June 18 2010 7:09pm
Well, I tried to complete a second design for you like I said I would but, I don't think I am going to finish it in time. I submitted what I have so far, just in case I can't finish it. Even without it fully colored, it would still be tattooable. The artist would just go by the already colored portions. Anyway, even though it's not finished, I still wanted to show you what I came up with. I figured I may as well since I already put so much work into it. Didn't want it to be for nothing lol
Shaky lineart
June 18 2010 6:58pm
There's not that much time left, but I'm going to see if I can post a colored version of mine up asap. My lineart is a bit shaky when viewed at 100% but that can be fixed.

I would love to see another stylized peacock, if that's okay. I know there isn't much time left on the contest, but if you can that would be wonderful.
Other ideas
June 18 2010 2:56am
I am going to try to crank out one more peacock design before time is up. Would you like to see another stylized peacock, or would you like to see something that more reflects the sample image you posted for us? I might also do another modification to the design I've already submitted if there is time.

I love the curved cherry blossom branch, it definitely makes the whole design flow more. If you have other ideas that you're playing with and trying out please post them, i'd love to see them.

I actually like the ones you just submitted (with color) much more than the ones you submitted it earlier. My one complaint is there aren't any of the crimson butterflies in it. Other than that though, it's perfect.

How am I doing...I mean do I even have a chance? Let me know?

Hey there! I was playing around a bit with the layout of the flowers in my design and thought you might like to see what else I came up with. I made the upper section of the branch curve a bit, to kind of match up with the flow of the rest of the design, and repositioned a couple of the flowers.

Oh, i'm sorry for not answering right away. Yes, fix the face (to make it more feminine), add the branch of cherry blossoms, as well as add the crimson butterflies and i think that should do it.
June 15 2010 9:54am
Just the face right and add the cherry blossoms? Is everything else ok?

If it's not too much trouble, i think making the cherry blossoms a tad bit bigger is a good idea.
The rest of the sketch is wonderful though, i can't wait to see it in color!
Cherry Blossoms
June 14 2010 2:22pm
Are the size of the blossoms in my sketch okay? I didn't want them to be too overwhelming, but I'm now afraid that they are TOO small, and am wondering if I should make corrections to them before I start on coloring.

Thanks! =)

I will make the changes...just the face? I could add more colors...also I didn't make it a female because these type of peacocks are not female...they are male...the males are the only ones with the beautiful colors for attracting the females for mating. Still if this is what you would like I can and will do it...let me know. If everything is ok...just the face...let me know. Thanks.

I think the peacock is really beautiful, but it bit more realistic than i like, it's kinda like looking at photograph. Also, it would be nice if it had more of a feminine face to it as well.
I like how you did the tail though. I like the length, the colors you used, as well as how it looks like it has texture to it.

Howdy,

Yes I can do that. I just got done adding color to the Cherry BLossom Branch and am going to start on the butterflies with color, then clean it up and go back over the design for cleaning up on the detailing. I hope you like what I've done so far and I look forward to hearing back from you when you get time. I'll also list the color's I used in the design just in case. Take care and have a good one my friend.

I love your drawing but i was wondering if you make the peacock bigger and the details in the background (the cherry blossom branch and the butterfly) smaller? their beautiful but i think they take away from the actual peacock itself.

I'm sorry for eliminating your entry, i thought it was really cool but it wasn't what i really wanted my tattoo to look like; i wanted it to look more like a peacock and not a phoenix and i wasn't a big fan of the tail.
Thank you for submitting it, though, if you have any more drawings please submit them. Your entry may not have been the peacock i wanted but it was still pretty cool looking.
Eliminated?

Greetings. I was curious, my entry was eliminated, though, as to why, I am not sure. May I know?

Ya know, I should have never posted that design on my msn/live space with some other ones back in 2005. Just goes to show how quick someone can take your design and change just a few details and make it their own. Took me almost a year to finish that design cause I was to busy racing cars online with my buddies on Need For Speed Underground. The curly flowers design that won a contest on here to me 2 years to finish and I actually had created it for myself and said what the hell and low and behold it won. Oh well, such is life. Take care.

Howdy,

I'm glad you like the design of the peacock I posted for you. I should have the outline of the full design finished and posted for you to see in a couple of days and then about another day to add the color. I know it must seem that it takes me a long time to finish a design but as I told you previously, I do all my designs free-hand and I'm so particular and picky about ever aspect of all my designs I create. Thank's for the info on the sample design. Stone-cold trip, huh???...!!! Thank's for your time and getting back with me so quickly. Take care and have a good one my friend.

I do like the peacocks you have posted though, i like the design and i would love to see the design you've drawn out.

Howdy,

I hope all is well with you. I was just wondering, where did you find the sample picture you have posted? It looks almost just like the design I created that I won a peacock contest with on here last year. I'm going to be creating a design that I would like to submit for your contest and would like to know your thoughts on the outline and blue peacock design that I have for you to look at. I will add the blossom branch and butterflies but would like to know what you think of the peacock first. I'm going to submit the design I won with because I want you to see what I'm talking about. After you see it I will withdraw it. It will take me about 2 to 3 days to complete the design I have pictured in my head because I do all my designs by hand. I look forward to hearing back from you when you get the time. Thank's for your time and have a good one my friend.

Absolutely! It's always easier to add to the design than to take something away. I'll start on it immediately!

I love the purple peacock in 4036 but i was just wondering if you could make the tail just a bit longer? Everything else is pefect though and i absolutely love the colors.

I would love for it to be in color and I like the shades of purple idea, i think it would be really nice to see it done like that.
Color or Black
June 5 2010 2:22pm
You said that you do not care for the blue/green colors of your sample. Would you like a simple black tattoo? If you want colors, which ones? Anything is possible. I can go with shades of purple or something a little more crazy like reds and yellows which would give your peacock a sort of phoenix feel to it. I have a drawing done and need more info before I move on. Please let me know what you'd prefer.
