Sure, not a problem. Did you want it more linear? Rectangular? Or not have an overall shape and be more organic?
Seeing as there is not much time left...I hope I can get your feedback in time. But if not, I'd be happy to work with you after the contest is over if you decide to go with my design..
i really like the final design paul, but is there anyway to not make it an oval shaped, its beautful but i didn't imagine it being oval shaped thanks alot for your time
really good background i really love the mountain top. the only changes i would like to see that could really capture my vision is to put a more wooden look in the cross, and more of a "bloused" look in the marines trousers, and more detail in the m-16 rifle of the marine, the clouds and the sky look amazing, and jesus came out really good too without having to add that much detail, thats the exact angle i wanted him looking up towards the heavens too. thanks alot and have a great day
hey paul, i see what you mean in how its difficult to add the detail with jesus' face, i'm really pushing on jesus staying on the cross so i'd actually like to see how it looks with you new changes, i may not need that much detail in Jesus's face afterall. thanks for taking the time, take care
So I have revised the design by changing the Jesus face so it points to the heavens, put the cross on top of a hill, put the marine on the side of the hill so it looks like he had to climb up, and added a cool background to tie it all together...it's looking really cool... (I think)....
The only issue is....getting the level of detail you want in Jesus' face. I did redo it and added a bit more detail...but still....the scale of the entire design does not allow me to get real detailed with it. Even when I blew up the design to 12" x 12"....his face is about 1/2" x 1/2".
I can submit what I have if you like...so you can see what I am talking about...
But if a detailed face of Jesus is important to you... I would suggest either one of two things: either I can stick with the design and add a separate (larger) face of Jesus in the sky background I did so as if He is looking down on the scene. Or go with a different design that is more zoomed in...perhaps one that does not incorporate the entire cross like the sample pic you posted. When it's zoomed in like that, I can get more detailed with his face...
really good first draft, i like the marine and the sling with the rifle alot, the only thing id like is more detail in jesus' face and i want jesus facing up towards the heavens, also the tattoo doesn't have to be limited to 6x6 in can be larger to incorporate more detail, the tattoo is for my upper back so there is alot of room to expand if need be. and i never thought of adding background, if you dont mind drawing one in and i'll tell you what i think, good work by the way.
Here is what I have come up with so far. I was thinking of finishing it with a simple background to tie it all together, but want to get your input first. Maybe a sunset...or some clouds? Or if you even would like a background?
Glad you like the final design.

So here is one possible way it could look on your back. It can be sized bigger or smaller.
