Summary:
Whimsical, Feminine, Sensual Fairy in a beautiful setting, with Floral accents, animals, etc...
Description:
The tattoo I need is going to cover most of my lower abdomen (due to scarring from pregnancy.) All of the lines in the fairy wings from my 'example' image (if you can see past my horrible artistry) are where each of my stretch marks lie, so the placement of the lines in the fairy wings are really important to me (I've outline in the example picture exactly where the wings should start and end, the shape, etc..), but not vital to who's design I choose. Also, I'd like to have the fairy's left hand out, holding a little galaxy type thing, with the sumerian depiction of our solar system (another example image included) and the mouth with the letters spelling 'fangbanger' set on her ankle as her own personal little tattoo(so she doesn't look completely innocent! and because I love True Blood). And two tiny bite marks on her neck. At the two tips of her wings, on one side I'd like a Small Deathly Hallows symbol, (example included) and on the other side, (this is corny)-the Nickelback Logo(also Small!) (it's just a cool NB design-another important one!) On the deathly hallows symbol, I'd like some golden emphasis put on the center large circle, as it's also supposed to double as the golden snitch from the movie, so if wings could be made somewhere on the small design that'd be cool too. Lastly, I'd like the fairy to be surrounded on the left side by pink, blue and white Forget me not flowers, with tiny butterflies and dandelions, and on the right side by something leading into a 'darker side' of the forest, with maybe a wolf standing in the center of the forest road..(this is all supposed to be smaller and smaller as you drift away from the fairy, as I don't want it wrapping around my body! She needs to take up as much of a piece of 8x11" paper as you see in the example photo, as that's how wide the scarring is. the rest isn't as important. Thanks so much for reading this and I really hope someone can do this for me. I've worked really hard to get to the weight I need to be to have this done, to find a parlor that's willing to tattoo me, so this would make a dream come true, as I cannot afford a tummy tuck to fix the scarring issue. Thanks again!! If you have any other cool suggestions for it, please add to it. I like feminine colors, I would however like her wings to be feathery and leafy looking if possible..but a light color..grayish or something similar..The flower she sits on needs to be about half the size of her, and directly under her butt! my hubby loves roses, with big green leaves..and ONE of the trees or the huge flower stem or something to have that vampire/werewolf tattoo as the stem or trunk, or just disguise it anywhere into this tattoo because it's so cool that it's written one way, and if you turn it over it says a different word!

Appended Description (January 30 2012 10:24pm):
Not sure of the colors desired yet, so would love to see some designs with color variations if at all possible. I just know that I like feminine colors, whimsy, with a hint of 'darkness' so that it doesn't look completely innocent.
Thanks for your consideration!

**not sure if I had this in the tattoo description- the fairy face is really important-I really would like to have the one from the example picture. Secondly- planets surrounding the sun in that small sumerian depiction of the solar system, the placement of those is important, as that is a really ancient depiction by one of the oldest civilizations that I love to study. Thanks

I don't feel need for any changes, just need to now take a good look and choose the one I feel most comfortable wearing for the rest of my life :) It Has been fun and so nice to 'meet' a few new people, and thank you for going out of your way with alterations, variations, and for the great communication throughout! It's really going to be tough because each one of you have nailed it with your designs.

This has been fun. You'll see lots of the suggestions and symbols have been incorporated now. Hope you like where it's going. Be happy to keep making modifications based on any feedback you'd like to share. Used the simplified deathly hallows symbol as the new wing design has the ornate gothic character build in and around it.
Thanks again (Love the phoenix on your page.Your work is very detailed/comprehensive and lovely!)
Would you be so kind to share the stretch marks photos prepared for Olivia with me as well as I shape & design the wings. My email is #. Thanks.
cheers,
Andria
I was going to enter this but I think Octavia has you covered---she's the faerie Queen here in my opinion!
I sent you a message Octavia regarding your post. Please lemme know what ya think.. (I forgot to add that I have not seen Pan's Labyrinth) Will upload a photo of the scarring today. eek! I am so self consious about them! lol..I didn't even gain more weight than I was supposed to for my pregnancies! Just have crappy skin elasticity. I hope it helps with the ideas..
Thanks again guys!!
Do you want to use the face in your example for the faerie? or something similar?
I personally feel and feel free to correct me if you like, but all the ideas you have would make the tattoo very busy and, if you went for something more simple you can really add more beauty with color and shape of the tattoo. may I suggest that the tattoo could grow to enhance your beautiful curves and add beauty to your curves.
Heres an idea I have to make everything more natural rather than placed. the faerie sat on a rose or stem of a rose like she is sitting in a rose garden. on her arms have the nickel back logo as a tattoo using vines. the Deathly Hallows use as the background using vines if the roses and using the circle of the at a gateway into another realm, you can make a play on lighting here. her wings could be more gothic and she can be more innocent looking, but theres a deadly ness in beauty, the tips of her hair could be blood colored and have blood dripping from them. the star could then be used in the background with out over complicating the faerie.
Would you be offended If I asked for a photos of your scars so that I can design it the best of my ability. I know its not easy, and I understand if its too much to ask.
I think I will outline a sketch to show you what I mean
Do you like pan's labyrinth? I could an an edge of that to the tattoo too.
Warm Regards
Octavia
