Golden-ratio shape using the Mohamed Ali's quote
Hi fellow artists. My ultimate objective for this tattoo is to never forget my mission in life. I identify with Mohamed Ali’s quote, which has inspired me in moments of doubt and pain and now I want to have it on my body to never forget it.
This tattoo idea started when I saw Ricky Martin’s one. I like its shape which is not drawn by lines but by a prayer. The original tattoo is written in an ancient language that some historians say was spoken at the time that Jesus came but I would like that my tattoo was in English.
This video shows the kind of work RM has done on his body, which in my opinion looks artistic and even spiritual, which are the combination I am looking for: http://www.wikio.com/video/ricky-martin-intro-backdrop-3084213
In this video of another tattoo, however, you can see almost same shape but in my opinión I don’t like the font, so use this example as a an example of that is not what I want: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c37HLI3YWys
Basically I’d like that the font would represent a creed, a way of life; a font that shows: integrity, honesty, truth, respect, discipline, tolerance, hope, etc.
Just to have in mind, I like cycling, swiming, and running (getting ready for my first triatholon) so if this tattoo can have some sense of movement or looks dynamic would be a w e s o m e!
In some of the pictures show something that surrounds the prayer that looks like flames, although I would like it to be not flames but more like a “wave of energy” that is kind of broadcasting\radiating its message…
Last but not least, this is the quote: Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they have been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Everything is possible.
First of all, thanks ALL for their designs, their time and effort.
Something important is that I thought it would be obvious for everybody but the original tattoo is not a single but a double spiral that at some point surrounds also the upper arm... that's the shape I am looking for.
Having said that, the next element is the background that all of you have added something as a background, for those, I would like them to be something closer to the style in this video http://www.wikio.com/video/ricky-martin-intro-backdrop-3084213 to be more specific look at the second: 8-12, 20 and 46-47.
For the Wording: So far the only design that actually starts the phrase from the center\middle is #4782 by enviedesigns, that's the way everybody should pursue.
FONT: Please use this font as seen in this picture:

On this pictures you will see with better detail:
1.- That the tattoo also does a kind of arm band like you did in 4796
2.- There are more details in the composition of the tattoo

NOTE: The circumference of my arm is 13.5 inches
Width of my shoulder is 20 inches
Are there more entries? More artists out there?
I am interested in seeing more backgrounds.
Thanks for your time and effort!

the contestholder obviously likes your design as well. U can feel free to use my font choice if that's the one he likes. I think it is called herculatum or something similar. I really like your take on the design and I think that the grey is overall better than using a hard black line. U still have 3 hours to impress....
good luck...
Bring it up! Time is moving fast!!

But I don't see anything in the background. just a design element above it. is that what you want?
Peace!
