Ill get you the revisions tomorrow. :) I get exactly what you are saying with the spots, and I will fix the color red to autumn as well. White ink is usually sound in washes, It is best for large spaces, rather than detail, but depending on your complexion and where you get the tattoo, it works better on some than others.
I love the black and white paint horse. I will probably use white ink for the horse, unless there's a problem with that. The only change I would request is the the red piece on the right side be either the autumn colors of the background or the blue of the river. Oh also, could you round out the black spots on the horse's belly to be more cloud-like rather than tenticle-like (sorry, only way I could think to describe it). Thanks.
So I also submitted a design with black and color for the paint. Unless you use white ink then the white space will be your skin tone. Putting a color next to the black on a paint horse is an another option. It doesnt have to be the color shown, but that was what I had from before and I thought it looked quite unique as an example. :) Any other changes?
I love the color in the background. Perfect actually. I think I'd like the horse to be white, black, or paint (black and white), to really stand out against the background. And can you make the river blue? That's all that I can think of for changes. Thank you.
Well... I felt like coloring it. If this isnt what you are looking for, let me know how I can change it and I will be happy to do another color version. :)
Alright, I tried to simplify the line art and make the changes you requested, color is next. I will try to keep the color very painterly and abstract, using fall colors as you requested. I do want to try doing the horse in a complimentary color to the background though. What do you think about a blue and white paint? A blue Roan? Otherwise I can keep the horse in the same color scheme, but it seems to me it will stand out more with a bit of blue to offset it from the orange/yellow/red background. Perhaps it could match the sky?
Wow thanks for such specific feedback! I am really glad you like my style, and the specifics you just gave me are so refreshing. It feels really nice to be given honest details about how we can edit a design for someone, I am confident I can make the changes you have requested. :)
I too feel most alive in fall... The color scheme I will use will be primarily red orange yellow and green. I will likely hold off on coloring until I get the updated linework approved by you, so hopefully that will be on it way to you later today.
Beautiful. I love the mountains in the background and the horse in the foreground, with the stream running through and then under. The layout is great. I envy your talent. A few things I'd like done differently. I don't love the mane of the horse going over his head. I'd like it to flow backwards instead. And is there a way to make the picture a little more simple? Here are some ideas: 1) eliminate the lines on the horse's girth, neck, face; 2) eliminate the circles and bumps on the stream; and 3) eliminate the cloud-like formation on the top of the circle. Really amazing though.
As far as colors go, I'd prefer bright or autumn-ish colors over blues or pastels.
Well here is the linework I have drawn up for you. When does this fit with your idea of abstract?
Should the colors also be abstract? I noticed a lot of the examples you showed us were very bright. I can do bright, but I wondered if you have a preference for warm or cool colors?
Here is the redux, any more thoughts? :)

I will begin coloring it soon.
