His and Hers tattoo

Summary:

Couples Tattoo that will somehow link together but yet one would be manly and 1 would be girly.

Description:

My husband and I have been married 6 years but living together for 14 years.  We have decided we want to get a his and hers tattoo.   We thought of me getting a lock and him getting a key but decided that idea was too common.  We can't agree on matching tattoos because he likes skulls and dark tattoos where as I like flowers and colorful tattoos.

So we are looking for 2 tattoos that will somehow link together but yet one would be manly and 1 would be girly.  They don't have to physically link together but the meaning as to link together (heart and key is an example)

I will be getting my tattoo on my hip and my husband will either get his on his arm or leg.

So Far the designs submitted have been impressive.

Some points that we like:
1. We love the ones with meanings behind the tatto (piece of my heart, key to heart, etc)
2. We like the male tattoo being dark while the female tattoo being color.
3. We like the tattoo not being a common tattoo that you would see in a generic tattoo parlor's book.

Some points we don't like:
1. My husband doesn't like his tattoo being colorful. He doesn't mind 1 or 2 colors but not too colorful. Blacks and Blues are his colors.
2. Don't like the female tattoo's main focus as a skull. I don't mind a skull in the design but not the main focus. The more girly the female tattoo is, the better it is!

Another Idea could be our nicknames for each other.   I call him SB which stands for Sexy Beast  and he calls me PSB which stands for Princess Sexy Beastess   (silly I know! but tis us)     I don't want plain letters but maybe you could incorporate SB and PSB into a unique design.   I'm extremely open to any ideas though.
