yur ink..Oops
April 14 2010 6:58pm
I found the pic of yur foot...If I knew how to ink..I'd know just how to cover it...
Heres what i'm thinkin....Start from yur old ink..work the vines
backward UNDER yur ankle..loop around toward the front BUT
up over the other ankle bone ending in the front.
yur ink
April 14 2010 6:31pm
Is it possible to see a picture of the tattoo already there (on yur foot).
I need to see how to cover it.
Thank U
hehe
April 11 2010 2:30pm
it does look kind of like a care bear =)
also with the star
April 11 2010 1:50pm
the elements surrounding the star will work on covering the tattoo as well(dots and vine work and so on. in truth a big black star or big black flower would not work well. and now that i look at it i am not sure about the flowers in the design being black. i think it will take from the longevity of the tattoo.
I will try to get a revision in soon.
RE: coverup
April 11 2010 1:30pm
hey sorry i have been busy at the shop. the nautical stars work geat for cover ups. if you get a little creative. they have a good amount of solid black. if you look at the 1x1 star at the bottom of my design you will see that there are lines in the sides that would normaly be color. these are here to break up the image that is being covered. the trick to getting a cover up to not be huge is to intagrate as much of the old linework as possible. You can take whatever feedback you want. I don't like to say it too much but coverups and repairs are what i do best. I am just a good tattoo artist but someone can go to six other shops and be turned away then I will cover it or fix it or brighten it. A huge black star or flower would be odvious as far as coverups go and odvious coverups are not good coverups. sorry if it sounds preechy

Looking at your design, I can assume the flower on the bottom would be intended to cover up my current tattoo. How would the tattoo go on my foot? I think I would like it to kind of snake it's way on the outside edge of my foot towards my ankle. Is there any way to adjust your design to be able to do that? Do I make any sense? I'm not a very good decriptive person, so I apologize in advance. :) And would it be possible to not have the leaves in the design? Maybe just turn them into more swirls and curves or maybe nothing at all in their place at all? Thanks so much!

Seeing the feedback from the artists I am beginning to realize that they are right about the star not working to cover my current tattoo. Do you have any other ideas to cover my tattoo with your current design? Thanks!

It doesn't have to be a star to cover my current tattoo. It could fall into any of these categories: nautical, flowers, filigree. Just something that would flow with the rest of the design. Art-n-coffee - I am really wanting to avoid color, if at all possible. I also like your design, but I think it needs a little more detail. I'm thinking something like 13star and dastardly have designed. Both of their designs are incorporating the filigree/henna. 13star and dastardly- I really like both of your designs. I am trying to provide feedback on them, but I can't seem to think of anything. I will think about it and get back to both of you if I think anything needs to change. Thanks!

I agree with her. A flower cover up would work best.
RE: COVER-UP ELEMENT
April 9 2010 5:15pm
I agree with Art-n-coffee, using a solid black star wouldn't work because it would have to be a lot bigger, it wouldn't fit in the spot that the blue flower is on the foot, and probably not flow with the henna style design much at all...I think using a flower element to go on top of the pre-existing blue, with dark enough black/gray shading and thick enough black outline would cover it pretty decently since the blue isn't super dark to begin with.
possible cover up issues
April 9 2010 4:53pm
I know you didnt ask for color but looking at your tattoo and how big it is. Using a star to cover it, the original tattoo would still show unless you made that star really big because of how a star is shaped and how your flower is shaped... if you have a really big star to fully cover it one of the points will go on your toe or between them... Im thinking fade the blue tattoo you have now to incorporate it with a star, or possibly use a flower to cover the current one. but then you will still have blue showing.

Dastardly do you have any thoughts on this?

Cover up
April 9 2010 10:10am
The current tattoo was poorly done and looks more like a blue Care Bear instead of an actual flower (a running joke in my family). I do not want to incorporate it at all. It sits by my pinky toe. I'll try to borrow a friend's camera to put it up here, but no guarantee! Thanks...
cover up
April 8 2010 8:30pm
where is it located on your foot? right above the pinky? in the middle of your foot? on the side? Do you not like it anymore or do you just feel it wouldn't work with the tattoo you currently are wanting? What about trying hibiscuses in this new design?

Current tattoo
April 8 2010 5:51pm
I would post a picture of my current tattoo, but I don't have access to a camera right now (moving). The best description I can give is that it is 1" x 1" hibiscus flower, and is blue. I know my description isn't as good as a photo, but it's the best I can do for the time being.

a photo of what you need covered up would help us all. hard to make a cover up tattoo without seeing it.

I like this one a lot too...could you make the flowers solid black and leave the center of the flowers the way they are? The only other thing I am not fond of is the two circles about half way down the design. Is there something else that could go there? Thanks so much!

I like the design, but do you have any ideas for something to cover up a tattoo on my foot currently? It's about 1" x 1". Whatever covers it up would probably need to be all black. It could be a star, flower, design...just something that would go with the overall design.

Wolaver design
April 6 2010 8:05am
Unlike the other design, I feel like this one doesn't have enough detail. I am not feeling the stars/flower design. On the other hand, I really like the curves with the dots. Thanks!

WhimsicalS design

I like the design, but it's got a little too much going on for me. The lines/curves are what I am thinking of, but the flowers are taking up too much space, making it look too "busy". I also really like how you incorporated the nautical stars.
