Summary:
Design a cool tattoo for a great cause! Looking for bright colors, flames, ribbon and a steer skull in the design for event!
Description:
Help fight cancer with your tattoo design!
The winning design will be used by The American Cancer Society to raise money and awareness for a cure. We are looking for a hip, cool design for our 2010 Cattle Baron's Ball collateral and marketing. We were inspired by the graphics and tattoos on the clothing and accessories in fashion today.
Just to give you an idea of the feel of the marketing... Our event is a country western theme. The tag line we are using is "Hottest Hoedown in Town". The tattoo design needs to be artwork only with no wording.
The design should incorporate FLAMES, STEER SKULL WITH HORNS, AND A CANCER RIBBON. Some things that you may add might be roses, stars, hearts or swirls. Be creative!
COLORFUL!!! Bright colors are key. Love the airbrushed look. Red should be a prominent color as well as teal blue. We want a lot of color though!
We like the look of the ed Hardy tattoos that are plastered everywhere. Maybe a fun, retro look. Not morbid or too gothic. I will try to attach an example of a tattoo design that appeals to us. We Love the flames and swirls! Would like the human skull to be replaced with a steer skull to give it the Cattle Baron's Country feel. Ribbon in the shape of a cancer ribbon. Maybe heart, rose or stars. Love these colors and the look!
We will not need a stencil because the only tattoos that may be made from this are the temporary ones. How about 500-1000 people wearing your design for the night! How cool!
The design could be any size. I am guessing 3-6 inches. Whatever you like to work with is fine. We just need it to be good resolution for printing. Detail is good depending on design. Not too sketchy. Medium to detailed.
Have fun and thanks for your help in the fight against cancer!

I just wanted to say that my grandfather past away from lung cancer and I support what you people are doing here. Wether I get the win or not I wish you all the best and that the event is a success. You are a flame that burns bright for the people struggling with the disease and their families, that there is hope and that we are working towards a cure.
Everything looks great!
#2163 and #2202- We like 2202's awesome flames upward, additional detail and swirls. Colors could be richer on both.
Not sure what to do with the cancer ribbon. It is really hard to work it into any of these designs so far. Like #2203 how she incorporated the ribbon as a western lasso but didn't like the feel of the design of 2203 as much for our needs.
#2188 and #2189- Right on with the colors, brightness and love the steer. Love the rose on head. Ribbon again not working into design. A crisp edge verses blended background would work better for our design.
New thought. How about doing the ribbon more like a band or sash like the ed hardy love kills slowly example I attached. We could add text to the sash in our marketing or keep in without words. We can scrap the cancer ribbon idea unless someone can make it work. The cancer ribbon can be a rope, the end of the sash, or incorporated into the green swirls or branches.
We like a lot of detail with the swirls, branches, leaves and such.
Hope this helps! You are all amazing artists with a different look each. Thank you for taking the time to help us with this cause.
