Sorry I've been having some family issues and then got sick so haven't been able to work on it. I do have an idea though and will hopefully have it in on time.

Ok. I was thinking about the ribbon. The flowers would be a type to represent that he won't be forgotten or love or both. I will see about the text as well.

Symbols

I'm certainly not against adding something to symbolized cancer awareness but it's got to have a personal meaning. I love the way flowers look but I just don't see how it relates to cancer or myself/father/or brother. Perhaps a purple ribbon or maybe the words "Love you pops" could work. It would be interesting to see how it's incorporated though.

Ok that makes sense. I am sorry for your loss but will try to incorporate some kind of symbol for that.
Are you against any flowers? animals?

My father
July 3 2012 3:12pm
The memorial is for my father who passed away from Pancreatic Cancer a little over a year ago. That's why I mention adding purple if possible because that's the color of PC awareness.

What is this a memorial for? Will help with any other symbolism to add.

Placement
July 2 2012 8:43pm
I'd honestly like to see it both ways. I'm leaning toward an asymmetrical layout simply because of the placement. If the 22 cross image is on the inside of my bicep closer to my armpit, I like the idea of the halftone dots fading toward and ending at my elbow. But having it symmetrical would do just about the same thing I guess. I guess do what you think looks best.

Only on the left side or can it be symmetrical? If you do only want one side half toned, do you want the cross one the right side or is there other ideas for that side?
Texture
July 2 2012 2:30pm
I understand that. I will do the same design with a few different textures and all and see what you think

Solid
July 2 2012 1:50pm
My original vision was having the numbers and lines be solid but a wood or stone texture sounds cool. I just don't know how it would work with the halftones though.

Do you want the numbers and Lines to be solid, bubbled, or any texture like wood or stone?
