Fencing Foil Tattoo

Summary:

Fencing foil tattoo expressing inner strenght, will power and/or self-improvement.

Description:

I'm searching for a design for a fencing foil tattoo. It should have a upstanding foil (look at the ex. imgs), surrounded by (or entangled in) something. Now this is the part where your imagination should come alive: I'm looking for a symbol of inner strenght, will power and/or self-improvement. I want something graphic here, like an animal, or an object. 

I want something simple, without colors, stylized and not very big (3 to 4 inches). I'm planning to tattoo it on my left chest, above the heart: perhaps it is a good idea to take that on consideration when making the design.

Finally, I know that this project is somewhat vague with its goals, but I'll be very please if something good comes around.
