can thicken the border no problem... the cadecus i can try to make it bigger but its gonng be the same problem as before with the axes... colored pencil doesnt really like to come out of the paper ha ill give it a try tho

can sketch it out for you i wont add the color unless you like the sketch. It might be a lil busy but then again making the star bigger might cancle that out. ill give it a go tho

question/idea for you...

<> can we take the axes from the background, make the star of life bigger.
<> make the cadecus with one snake and without wings.
<> cross the new cadecus with one ladder and axe in a 'x' formation.
<> since the axe and (now) ladder are inside, ill leave the colors up to you with what looks best.

i know its late in the contest and im sorry. if you can make something of it awesome, if not no worries

hey! idea for ya! what do you think about making the circumference of the circle in which the start of life is in bigger? while at the same time keeping the maltese cross size the same? so basically, the circle (and therefore the star of life) gets bigger, while the width of the wings of the maltese cross get smaller? thought maybe that could be a way to draw more attention to the snake head?

first off, sorry for taking so long to offer some pointers. again i apologize for not being prompt. i like the design, part of the reason for the delay was i was that i know i liked it, but something was nagging at me and couldnt put a finger on it. ANYWAYS, i think the stick in which the snake is wrapped around is too big. maybe shorten it? the red thats the background for the star of life, maybe change it to a different color? perhaps maybe some kind of yellow? what do u think?

since the axes are up top i was maybe gonna try to balance it out by putting flames at the bottom of the tattoo but i dont know yet ill just do scetches to see what looks the best.

Hello,
Posted the design w/ the smaller flames....also resized it to about a 6x6 so that maybe you can see more detail in the snake...most of the reason for not seeing as much detail is because it's smaller than before and isn't as big of a part in the design. Hopefully these adjustments will help. Thanks, Colby

hey its all good...no worries. i like the flames but could they be smaller? just out of curiousity, how big dimensionally is the tattoo? i was looking at the design and i really cant make out the detail of the snakes head. is it the same head thats in #494? depending on how big the dimension is, i may have another idea.

wow dude! it looks sweet! although i must admit i miss the flames you had from the last two designs...would it be possible to incorporate those flames in this design? maybe on the in side where the red orange yellow fade is? maybe have the flames border the circle. i like the blue fade to white in the star of life, maybe add some blue so there isnt so much white? other than that its awesome!

hey, i like the design, your off to a great start. i like how you did the flags, its real intruiging to look at. could we add more detail to the cadecus specifically the 'snakes' head? maybe add a mouth and eye to it? other than that it looks good!

dont really have a ruler but the height is about 3inches and the width is about a lil over 4
i can try on them both it might be a lil cloudy because of the black already being there but ill give it a go

the size isnt most important i was just curious what it was at this point. i really like the design thus far.

what do you think about yellow handles? (the axes on our trucks actually have yellow handles) could maybe the edge of the blade be on fire?

ok, lets go with your suggestions and see how it turns out...the more i think of it, the axes would prolly look better on the outside running behind it only cuz there might be too much going on inside. good point bout the black for the outline of the star.

can try for more of a difference between them but im thinkin the only way i can make the difference is by adding black to the cadecues which i think would still look good. i think ill have to go black with the border now because of the american flag. see it was great that you happened to be on

i like the change! the only thing though is i feel that theres too much going on in the center of the design. maybe its the 'paint' look on top of the 'colored pencil' that the rest of the design is in thats throwing me off.

with the clover, did you want to fill the whole clover in with the american flag theme, or were you talking about an actual flag in the clover itself? just wanted to be on the same page before you drew it. personally i like the idea of it being filled in. your the artist, what do you think would look better?
