Design My 1st Tattoo - Turtle Tattoo

Summary:

Awkward turtle, perhaps tribal, hawaiian, needs to stand the test of time.

Description:

I am 45 and this will be my 1st tattoo.  I went to my first tattoo place here in Melbourne yesterday and found no inspiration at all.  I have come to identify the turtle as my "spriit animal" so want my first tattoo to be representative.  Also, I consider the awkward turtle to be an accurate description where my sense of humor often ends up, so that is why that is something I am considering as well.

Googling has shown many tribal/hawaiian turtles that in general look pretty cool, but I would like something unique and well thought out and not another copy.  I don't like the idea of having a "cartoon" like turtle on me, although I did think that perhaps a Mario Brothers creeper on its back would be interesting.

This tattoo will go either on my calf, around to the outside front of my leg or my foot.
