Summary:
Military tattoo to honor my unit
Description:
Hi everybody. I'm looking for a left upper arm tattoo(above the sleeve). I want to honor my artillery unit. I was a member of the 29th Light Infantry, 246 Field Artillery.
I want integrated into the tattoo:
1. the image of cross cannons
2. 1/246 FA
3. 29th Lt Inf
The most important items are #1 and #2. #3 is optional. Nothing has to be exact. If it looks good with the 1/246 without the FA, that's ok. You know what I mean? No skulls please.
The two images I included were only samples of artillery cross cannons. The image can be very loosely based on these.
I selected 3" by 4". I'm not sure what the standard size is for upper arm, above sleave. I'll leave that up to you.
I'm open to designs and creativity. I'll provide feedback.
I like black and white. I like color. You can't go wrong.
Thanks!

Appended Description (June 15 2010 7:17pm):
Updates:
1. Black and white only. No color.
2. Less symmetrical is good
3. No need to spell out "Field Artillery", as the cannons say it all.
4. Maybe "29th Lt Inf" instead of 29th Light Infantry
5. Maybe 1/246 FA instead of 1/246 Field Artillery
Keep 'em coming!

Interesting angle. I definitely gave it a 3rd and 4th look. The problem is that the Yin/Yang must be vertical, as it is the patch for the 29th Lt. Inf. Division. The text would have to be pulled out of the cannon because it might be too hard to read, especially after 10 - 20 years. By the way, I really like the pencil sketch you did of the girl in bed crying (on your web site). You are very talented!

It's important that you keep the same colors (blue and gray). Please integrate cannons and "246th". Don't need the 29th Lt. Inf. this time or the letters FA. Thank you for being so responsive to some guy (me) who's trying to figure out what he wants. Look at it this way, if you fill me up with 10 designs your a guaranteed winner <grin>. Thanks! Frank
ok,
1. make the cannons smaller
2. make the text bigger
3. All black
4. drop the stars
5. drop the ribbons
Thanks!
Frank
1. drop the color - go black and white
2. drop the outline
3. drop the words Field Artillery (cannons are self explanatory)
4. less symmetry if possible
Good work. Keep it up.
