Please can someone help me. I have a small ambigram that I need another name added to. Simple, effective, bit of a challenge!
Description:
I have an existing ambigram in the inside of my right wrist. It is my two sons names (see example image below). In one direction it says "Tom' and the other it says "Coen" Since then we have had our third and final child; another boy, and i would love to add his name to the ambigram somehow. His name is "Javi". The existing ambigram is done in black ink and I would like the additions in black too (I dont like colour). Now, the diffiult part.....I like to be able to cover up my tattoo from time to time with a thick banded watch (for work etc), so I would really like to keep the added detail small and within the confines of where the watch would sit (on the inside of wrist only). This doesnt give us much room to play with. I was hoping for his name to be added in the form of fine swirls/detail around the exisiting ambigram. I though this might make the existing tattoo look more feminine. It doesnt have to be easy to read. The other names are a bit abstract and need to be studied to figure out which I like. I am so so hoping that someone can help me out. Please study the examples below. Cheers

Yea sure I can add the detail to top and bottom, I received your comment alil late. I'll get on that ASAP- but the contest now is closed. But I'll still draw it for ya!
Hi. I really like your ideas in #59486 and I really like the script that you used. Do you think you could have a play around with the top and bottom of the tattoo and add some swirly detail there to make it look a little more blended and not so added on? I realise this will add a little more height onto the tatt but I dont mind too much. Thankyou in advance!!
Thankyou for your submissions Young Blood. I was hoping to blend the name in more so that it didnt look like its just been added as an after thought. I think that your idea to put the letters inside the existing letters was good but in reality there is not enough room and I think we would run the risk of it bleeding into the ofther letters and becoming one big blob. I have extended the competition by 7 days and I am hoping to recieve some more ideas. Thanks in advance.
As a heads up, this piece was done too small for longevity. it will blur together over time. this will be true of any add-ons we place in this small space as well, it's really unavoidable due to the small size of the original.
Something your tattoo artist can do to help prevent this would be to take a brightly colored ink and fill in the areas between the black design--the ink will act as a psudo barrier from the spreading that will still happen, and will show more distinction between the black lines.
I hope I havent put too many people off with the size restrictions of this alteration. If its not possible then I dont mind it a bit bigger, but just as small as possible. What I would really like is to make the whole thing blend and look prettier and more feminine. I would like the tattoo artist to touch up the existing tattoo at the time I get the alterations done. Its looking a little old and tired. xxx
Thankyou EgoModify. Yeah I figured it was a big ask. In my mind I was kind of thinking that it may be possible to do a swirly abstract letter on each side....for example a J above it, v below it and a and i on either side. Or something like that. Just one thought I had but I am SO not creative and have a hard time picturing anything. ;) There is a bit of room either side; not sure if you can tell from pics. If it really isn't possbile to keep it with in the restrains of the watch band then I will end up going bigger and so be it. I would love to see ANY ideas you have. Thanks so much in advance!!
At this stage I am choosing between that and one other.
Will let you know.
Thanks again!!
