Summary:
Something small and sweet to pay respect to Lewis Carroll and his Alice.
Description:
So, I am a Lewis Carroll scholar, which means that I spend my waking moments (most of them) studying and reading all things Lewis Carroll. Needless to say this means I love Alice in Wonderland.
I've been wanting an Alice in Wonderland tattoo FOREVER. However, because there is just so much that I love, I am having a hard time figuring out what I want.
So, I'm leaving that up to the artists out there.
I'm looking for something small, like something I can put on my ankle, or wrist or someplace small. I would like it to be colourful.
It can be anything, it can be a quote, or a small picture, or a mixture of both.
It doesn't HAVE to be the original drawings, you may draw Alice or whoever however you want.
NO TIM BURTON.

so...
No Disney. Please?

Well, Alice is always a good one and I'd love to see people's interpretations of her, but since it is such a small space, I'm not quite sure how that will go...
I like most of the characters, but here are some that may work best in the small space:
The door mouse (maybe in a teacup or peeking out of a teapot)
The Caterpillar (with hookah)
The Cheshire Cat
The Mad Hatter
OR you could think of it as a theme, like just a simply wonky teacup, or JUST the mad hatters hat, or a chess piece, or a playing card (like the Ace), and accompany it with a quote. I don't mind just hinting at it, it doesn't HAVE to be blatantly out there. I'm really into the tea themes, and more into the chess theme than I am the playing card theme.
Quotes:
Try to avoid "we're all mad here" because that's what everyone gets.
"Sometimes, I've believed in as many as six impossible things before breakfast"
"Curiouser and curiouser!" (Which I know is a cliche one...but I like it)
"Everything's got a moral, if only you can find it"
"How is a raven like a writing desk?"
"Who are you"
Or if you want to just do text, you can do this one:
How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!
How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in
With gently smiling jaws!
