Elegant, classy and detailed.
Description:
To start, my father passed away from pacreatic cancer last January. My brother and I are getting a tattoo to remember him. A few things we'd like are the number 22(his MLB number and our sports number), a heart, maybe a ribbon sympolizing cancer awareness, the phrase "Hope, courage, faith" not necessarily in that order. I'm a little more in to it than my brother and I'd like to get something like a quarter sleeve but on the inside of my arm. Or the whole upper arm depending on the tattoo. I love colorful tattoos but it needs to be elegant and classy. My thought is having those items mentioned above with some background designs to match. The rest is up to you!

I'd like to get something like a quarter sleeve but on the inside of my arm. Or the whole upper arm depending on the tattoo. I love color in tattoos but it needs to be elegant and classy. Like mostly black and white with an accent of purple. My thought is having those items mentioned above with some background designs to match. The rest is up to you! More updates: Focus on the number 22, flip one of the 2's so it forms a heart. Have the bottom of the twos represent the two sides of a cross then add the bottom line of the cross. You can get creative with this design but the 22 still needs to be recognizable. For the background I like a subtle paisley design OR sun rays radiating away from the main cross. I'm probably going to submit something, but you said nothing too busy.....But you also said you'd like a paisley design AND japanese type sun backdrop...Should the sun be located on the back of the lower part of the cross 1.? 2...for the paisleys, how about it like stylized in small type into the cross? Or shoud it be the back to the sun?
Ive thought about a few more things after I realized my description is extremely broad. From my sample images if like to use the "love22" image but turn it into more of a cross. The top of the cross is the heart(top of 22), the bottom of the twos create the cross bar, then just add the bottom part. I also don't really like the words I suggested on the tattoo, actually let's just get rid of them.
I want that cross but I'd also like some background design. I like a masculine paisley design if that makes sense. I also like the sunrise style design which I imagine to be on a Japanese poster for some reason. I like things simple and clean with the addition of a small amount of color which should probably be purple but doesn't have to be.
As for what I don't want....great question. Nothing cheesy. Nothing too busy. Hmmmm...sadly I've been sitting here for ten minutes thinking of what I don't want. I think that's why I'm using this site. To come up with new ideas, ones I like and don't.
